Rape – regional cooperation for energy production

Rapeseed is currently the most important renewable resource for biodiesel production. At gbf we therefore focus on producing biodiesel from rapeseed oil. Our plant in Falkenhagen can carry out the entire production process and the rapeseed that is delivered to the plant is processed in its entirety. At the end of the production chain biodiesel is obtained as our main product alongside with technical glycerine and rapeseed cake as by-products. 

Greenhouse gas reduction - our contribution to climate protection

Since the expansion of our plant with a multi-feedstock facility in 2007 we are now also able to process other raw materials. Especially important, because of its potential for reducing greenhouse gases, is the processing of used cooking oils (waste from the production of food).
